My first voting experience…

It started off on a really bad note… I had woken up late on the polling day and as soon as I did, was made to brush and chased off to cast my vote…As I reached the polling station which was just about a shouting distance from my home, the sight of serpentine queue of voters greeted me…Apparently the voting machine was not working….. HOLY S***!!!...Half heartedly I joined the queue along with others to participate in the biggest democratic elections, a month-long process expected to yield no clear winner to lead India …

I might be pessimistic but I just exercised my voting right out of moral responsibility…The likelihood of my vote mattering, is about as close to zero as you can get in this election…

at least u voted.......[:(]
at least u voted.......
i was stuck in a hell hole like situation called forensic medicine exams.....where i was memorisin the civil n legal responsibilities of a registered medical practioner.....
paradoxically enough,my responsibilities stopped at myself....and failed to extend to my motherland....
you know what.....i opine that somebdy should make a law that doctors, lawyers and government employees should be liable to show cause when they fail to cast their vote

"just about a shouting distance","the sight of serpentine queue" ........the typical sahiti type of words!!!!
but i luv the way u describe things, atleast u dont use those complex words!!!
u need to feel happy...atleast u got to vote......many of my frnds could not vote as they couldnt find their names in the list!!
i personally feel that its an experience.....for the first time in life u would be almost directly responsible for the future of the country!!!!!!
